Is pleased to announce that the next IAPS meeting and 5th International Conference on Protective Structures (ICPS5) will be held in August 2018, hosted by Poznan University of Technology, Poland. The conference will focus on protection of engineering structures and infrastructure (including buildings, bridges, pipelines, dams etc.) against natural and man-made explosions and impacts from terrorist attack, military ordnance, accidental explosions, earthquake, and vehicle or ship impact.

The conference follows the successful 1st ICPS in Manchester in 2010 , 2nd ICPS/ISIEMS in Potsdam in 2013 , and 3rd ICPS in Newcastle in 2015 . Moreover, the last 4th International Conference on Protective Structures (ICPS4) was held in Beijing in 2016 . These very successful events continue a series of subsequent conferences organized every two years in different location on the word.

The next edition of ICPS Conference also continues this tradition and will be organized by the International Association of Protective Structures (IAPS) and hosted by Poznan University of Technology (PUT) in Poznan, Poland 2018 . It joints together both the world known experts in the field as well as experimental and theoretical science. The primary objective of ICPS5 is to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of new ideas referring to the theoretical background as well as practical applications of computational mechanics. The program of the conference will reflect current extensive research in the field of protective structures science.
