I like that I can still utilize my Webasto when the fuel tank is near E. With the amount of fuel that it uses I'm not worried about running my tank dry.
Temps have plummeted to -20's C here and I have yet to have one cold start on my Cummins this season. I start my engine and it's already at 140-155*F. You can actually feel the heat coming out from the grille if you walk around the front.Did you have any issues when you fired yours up the first time? Finally hooked mine up last night and the 7 day timer will not power up at all The second the power and ground where hooked to the battery the units pump and blower fan kick on but that is all it will do.
Make sure your timer is wired up correctly. You should have 3 wires connected for the timer. A red, black and brown.
I believe there is a green as well but you do not use this one. As long as those 3 wires are connected correctly the timer should power up when you connect the main power and ground wires for the Webasto. You may also need to reset the Webasto, sounds like it may be locked out. If you have the instruction manual that came with the heater check out section 6.
This will give you step by step instruction on resetting it. If all of the wiring is good and connected correctly and a reset doesn't work, the control module may be faulty. If you don't have the instruction manual, go here.
The unit should not power up when power and ground wires are connected. Unless there is a short in the switch wiring for the switch/timer.
Or the timer is faulty. No issues with mine, just had to start it a few times to get fuel to the unit. Ironcad keygens and cracks.
School Bus Fleet Magazine Forums Webasto coolaant heaters. Author Topic Advanced Member 274 Posts Posted -: 06:14:15 AM Last year all 6 of our new CE's which came with the Maxxforce 7 engines had Webasto coolant heaters on them so they could keep up in the cold wisconsin winter. Now that the winter is almost over not one of them is still working. Some spit fuel out the exhaust pipe, some make a clicking niose in the control panel. We sent one over to the dealer and they couldnt fix it and said to bring it back when they had more time to diagnose it. I just download the service manual and was wondering if any of you who have had training and have done maintenence on these units can give me the common fixes and tips for diagnosing the issues.
It looks like there is a special tool from webasto that can run the unit. Is it needed and what does it do? We installed winter fronts on the busses and that helped a little.
Thanks Senior Member USA 114 Posts Posted -: 08:37:48 AM Webasto has a good tech line if you call them direct or if you'd rather feel free to call us. Our website is We sell and service a ton of them in all sizes on mostly Thomas but a lot of IC and BB and trucks too (even lobster boats, equipment and pretty much anything w/diesel). They are a great product but they do take some work. My email address and our parts and service guys are on there or feel free to call. They sell a test box for the Scholastic 45000 BTU heaters. The small ones require software (free download from Webasto) and a cable which you have to buy that connects your USB to the heater.
